Dust and water -proof feature in this phone along with fingerprint scanner is similar to Apple's iPhone 5S .Just below rear camera is fitted heart beat scanner that records users heart beat.
The phone Samsung Galaxy S5 was being rumored with to have more than full HD (2560 × 1440) pixel resolution. However , these rumors proved to be false. Galaxy S5 has 5.1 inch full HD screen . At the same time, this phone has a 16 megapixel camera . The phone also has a new feature called Kids mode . With the help of this feature, the phone can be locked for children. In kids Mode only certain apps that are set on Kids mode can be used. Other than that one may not access any other app.
Samsung Galaxy S4 CEO Jake's said we have sold more than 200 million devices sidelining the question about low sales of S4at the launch of its Samsung Galaxy 5. The company launched S4 in the summers last year. However ,S4 was competition to devices such ask the Apple iPhone 5 and 5S, LG G2, HTC and Sony Xperia Z1.
Design :
There is nothing much new in S5 while comparing with S4. S5 has the same plastic cover which is always used in Samgung Galaxy flagship phones. hopwever, the company has launches metal vatiants of S5.
What's different -
- A heart rate monitor on the back side of the phone has been installed.
- Health and Fitness apps are in abundance in the Galaxy S5.
- Galaxy S5 has been launched in four colors. White, Black, Blue and Copper Gold.
- Front side of the phone has a fingerprint scanner and also has the Home button.
Fingerprint scanner / sensor -
Fingerprint scanner was reumoured even before the launch. Samsung Galaxy S5 also has the fingerprint scanner. This feature is being told to be copy Apple, but Samsung says that it is different. S5 finger scanner works different that Apple, your finger will be scanned 8 times and # fingers are scanned. It is absolutely wrong to say Apple will not copy the fingerprint scanner .
There were news before the launch of the S5 phones that it will have eye scanner. Samsung has denied any such feature in S5.
Camera -
Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 16 megapixel camera. With better user interfacebetter than before. 2.1 megapixel camera is in the front side.
