Public sector Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) is planning to set up oil refinery in Rajasthan. Barmer ONGC company with 90 million tonne unit is planned. Large reserves of oil have been found in Barmer.
HPCL Refinery at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh is now Mumbai. Its stake in Bhatinda refinery in Punjab.According to sources, HPCL now 51 per cent stake in the project have expressed interest to join.
The project will take 26 per cent stake in ONGC.The production capacity of three million barrels a day to take.
Also has recommended to take equity stake.
